Our Processes
Plan Design and Review:
Our expertise in plan design and setup assists employers in creating retirement plans meeting numerous business objectives. The expertise we boast, results from the likes of an in-house ERISA attorney, CPA, Registered Investment Advisor, Qualified Pension Administrators, and additional specialists with countless hours of education in retirement planning. And with continual changes in business law, on-going and strategic plan reviews drive our proactive staff toward service aimed at meeting each employer’s goals.
Fiduciary Support:
The law requires plan trustees, as fiduciaries, to fulfill specific obligations ensuring plans meet all governmental requirements. Plan trustees will be judged on the processes used to fulfill these obligations, not by their outcome. Our expertise enables fiduciaries to fulfill their responsibility by providing processes that assist in the documentation process, such as the creation of Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, and Investment Policies to name a few.
Investment Reviews:
Fiduciary responsibilities require investments periodically be reviewed to ensure plan offerings are prudent for participants. We assist in the documentation of such reviews with the creation of relevant investment option information resulting from discussions, evaluations and decisions covering such options. Investment review options include: ERISA 404(c), investment arrary reviews, investment policy fund evaluation, fee reviews, fund monitoring.
Employee Education:
Providing appropriate and meaningful ways in which plan participants receive educational assistance regarding their plans, can be both challenging and costly for employers and its employees. By capitalizing on our expertise in providing general education curriculums centered around plan participation, saving for retirement, diversification, asset allocation, tax deferral advantages, and risk/return concepts, our after-hours approach helps control such costs. Frequently offered classes, both voluntary and flexible in terms of enrollment, assist in avoiding work shut-downs and lost production.
